Art and Design
At Amesbury Archer, we foster and encourage the creative development of all pupils, offering them opportunities to apply their Art and Design skills in connection with other subjects such as history and geography. Our aims are to inspire and challenge students by allowing them to experiment, invent, and create their own masterpieces, while also helping them develop a critical understanding of various elements of Art and Design. We aim for children to appreciate the significance of art in British history and culture. In terms of skills, we encourage pupils to explore, create, and document their artistic experiences, become proficient in various artistic techniques, evaluate and analyse their work, and recognize the forms of artists, craft makers, and designers.
